Karima Cammell opened Castle in the Air, a studio and
shop in Berkeley, California, in 2001. Since then she has continued in
her lifelong medium of illustration, publishing books through Dromedary
Press, Castle in the Air's publishing imprint.
Karima's first book -- "Castle in the Air" -- was a collaboration with
her husband, Duncan Brown, who penned the story. Beautifully written,
with lyrical illustrations, this book
tells the tale of an itinerant traveler who attempts to win the heart of
young queen. Awash in suitors, she has declared that she will only marry
who can build for her a castle in the air.
Letterpress printed by Richard Seibert and hand-bound by Victoria Heifner.
