March 24 - The Art of Pysanky: Ukrainian Egg Decoration

115.00

Pysanky is a traditional Ukrainian method for decorating eggs. Richly colored eggs with intricate designs are created using textile dyes, melted beeswax, and a stylus known as a kistka. The finished eggs are similar to dyed Easter eggs you’ve seen, but with much more intense color and detailed designs. In this class, you’ll create your own beautiful pysanka (using an empty chicken eggshell) and take-home materials that will allow you to make more pysanky on your own. No prior experience is needed.
