July 30 - Hamlet the Hedgehog

July 30 - Hamlet the Hedgehog

115.00

At first glance, Hamlet the Hedgehog looks nearly real! In this class you will learn the process of needlefelting with wool over a cotton-wrapped wire armature. You’ll also learn how to create tiny hands and feet using wire and beeswax—a useful technique when crafting mice and other animals with tiny toes. Hamlet’s pokey fur back is created using mohair, which you’ll sew onto his body. His sweet face is finished with black glass eyes and horsehair whiskers. Hamlet measures approximately 5 inches long, and can be manipulated to sit or scamper on all fours.
