In this day-long workshop, you’ll learn the classic draughtsman’s script known as Architectural Printed Hand. For this style of printed lettering, you’ll replicate drafting alphabet examples influenced by the Arts and Crafts period of the late 19th- to early 20th-century). J.P. will teach you how to use a number of implements, including pencils, monoline pens, and fountain pens. Throughout the course of the class, you will learn about general typographic terminology and history, how to use basic draughting tools, and how to develop lettering variations.
